Affil Stands for: Affiliate Synonyms: affils Terminology | Dictionary | Explanation A releasegroup can be an affil (short for affiliate) at a site. This means that they will pre their releases at that site. When a releasegroup pre's a release, it's made available on the sites where the releasegroups affils. From there on the traders spread the release to other sites. In the picture below, you can see the distribution of a scene release. You can see the affilsites as the homes of releasegroups. From there on the releases will directly be spread to the first degree other sites. Traders from that site will spread the release again to second degree other sites. Though they can not start immediately, they have to wait until traders from the releasegroup's home have traded the release to the first degree site.
