  NTSC
Stands for National Television Standards Committee

NTSC is the television and video standard in the United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea, and Taiwan. NTSC produces interlaced 525-line 30 frame/second picture. NTSC is named for the National Television Standards Committee, the U.S. standardization body that adopted it. NTSC is one of the two major standards in the world. The other major one is PAL.
