Pubstro Synonyms: Stro Terminology | Dictionary | Explanation A pubstro is a computer that has been compromised and has a FTP-server running on it. It will be used to share warez, mainly to the FXP Boards or Pubbing Community. A scanner first scans the net for vulnerable IP's. Then the hacker breaks in to the vulnerable computer, and installs his rootkit. And just like that, a new pubstro is born. After that, the hacker posts the stro on his FXP board, so a filler from his group can fill the pubstro with warez. |
